Thailand has acceded to the Convention on the Rights of the Child making reservations to articles 7 and 22. It entered into force on 26 April 1992. Reservations were withdrawn on 11 April 1997. The initial report, (CRC.C.11.Add.13) , was submitted on 23 August 1996 and considered on 1 and 2 October 1998.
The second periodic report, (CRC.C.83.Add.15), was due on 25 April 1999 but only submitted on 7 May 2004. It was considered on 24 January 2006. The third and fourth periodic reports are due on 25 April 2009.
Thailand has acceded to the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict without reservations, declarations and objections. It entered into force on 27 March 2006. The initial report is due on 27 March 2008.

Viet Nam has ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child and it entered into force on 2 September 1990. The initial report, (CRC/C/3/Add.4 and CRC/C/3/Add.21) was submitted on 30 September 1992 and it was considered by the Committee on 20 January 1993.
The second periodic report (CRC/C/65/Add.20) was due on 1 September 1997 but only submitted on 10 May 2000. It was considered by the Committee on 22 January 2003. The third and fourth periodic reports are due on 1 September 2007.
Viet Nam has ratified the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict and it entered into force on 12 February 2002. The initial report (CRC/C/OPSC/VNM/1) was due on 12 February 2004 but only submitted on 8 November 2005. The initial report will be considered by the Committee in September 2006.

Upon ratification Viet Nam made a reservation with regard to article 5. The initial report (CRC/C/OPSC/VNM/1) was due on 18 January 2004 but only submitted on 8 November 2005. The initial report will be considered by the Committee in September 2006.

Lao PDR has acceded to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and it entered into force on 7 June 1991. The initial report (CRC/C/8/Add.32) was due on 7 June 1993 but only submitted on 18 January 1996. It was considered by the Committee in September and October 1997.
The second periodic report was due on 7 June 1998 but has not yet been submitted.

Indonesia has ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child and it entered into force on 5 October 1990. Reservations made upon ratification were withdrawn on 2 February 2005. The initial report, (CRC/C/3/Add.10 and CRC/C/3/Add. 26) was submitted on 17 November 1992 and it was considered by the Committee in September 1993.
The second periodic report (CRC/C/65/Add.23) was due on 4 October 1997 but only submitted on 5 February 2002. It was considered by the Committee on 13 January 2004. The third and fourth periodic reports are due on 4 October 2007.
Indonesia signed the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict on 24 September 2001 but has not yet ratified the Protocol.

Cambodia has acceded to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and it entered into force on 14 November 1992. The initial report (CRC/C/11/Add.16) was due on 13 November 1994 but only submitted on 18 December 1997. It was considered by the Committee in May and June 2000.
The second periodic report was due on 13 November 1999 but has not yet been submitted. The third periodic report was due on 13 November 2004 but not yet been submitted.
